Colleen A. Kraft, MD, FAAP is President-Elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has worked in population health management at Cincinnati Children’s and at the Virginia Tech School of Medicine. Dr. Kraft received her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech and her M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Kraft has worked in primary care pediatrics and was the Founding Pediatric Program Director at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Dr. Kraft has served as the Medical Director for a Medicaid managed care organization in Virginia as well as a Pediatric Accountable Care Organization at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Kraft’s work in early childhood and population health seeks to translate the goals of health equity into medical practice.
